While Indian market is expanding at a good rate, new manufacturers from international markets are also setting up base in India. The Two Wheelers segment, with 81 per cent market share, is the leader of the Indian Automobile market, owing to a growing middle class and a young population. Moreover, the growing interest of companies in exploring the rural markets further aided the growth of the sector. ‘Menza motors’ is providing an alternative.
The government of India has promised to move for only electric vehicle by 2030. So along with passenger vehicle, two wheelers also need to be take care of. In Auto Expo 2018 at Greater Noida some sorts of electric vehicle are shown which is charged by plugin process. Mostly moped was there but Menza motors come with performance electric bike.

Comparative analysis
Some more performance electric bike has been shown at Auto Expo 2018. Bengaluru based startup Emflux is building electric superbike, as well as patented technology that can be used by other automobile manufacturers.
With instant torque available on tap, the Emflux electric motorcycle can accelerate to 100 km/h in under 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 170 km/h, and with a sensible commuting range of 200 km. The time to charge 0-80 percent will be in less than 36 minutes from a DC fast charge station. It’s charging is much faster than Menza motor’s Lucat along with performance.
If we see Emflux then we will find that it is very compact which gives an attractive look as compare to Menza motor’s Lucat. Barring the brakes, tyres and the suspension, every single component on the motorcycle has been designed and engineered in-house.
The drivetrain includes the battery pack, the BMS, an on-board charger, the motor controller, and the motor which is run by a powerful master controller capable of running powerful neural networks. In terms of price it’s incomparable. It so because The Menza motors Lucat is the most affordable of the lot and is priced at Rs. 2.79 lakh. The Emflux One is priced at Rs. 6 lakhs.
Need of the hour for Lucat
- From side a box is seen. I don’t know what exactly is in the box. But matter of concern is that it looks ugly.
- It could be arranged symmetrically by covering upper part with dashing style cover so that it could attract youngsters.
- From the safety point of view, it could be great concern. If somewhere vehicle touched from the side, it would cause huge losses.
- I think it should be covered so that only lateral sketches would be the loses while accident from the side.
- If we covered properly it would definitely help in reducing drag. While driving air comes from side and caused vortex formation and drag formation.
- The flat area of the headlight may cause drag.
- In such case handle should be tilted so that driver can hold the bike comfortably for a long run.
Booking of this bike has been started from 14 Feb. The bike will be sold solely through the e-commerce platform. You can buy the bike at full retail price or you can lease it. The lease option will have you pay an amount of around Rs 3880 where the battery would be fully covered under warranty for life. If the battery range drops under 60 kilometers, it will be replaced free of charge. The specifics are being worked on and we will soon be getting more details on that. Stay tuned.
